We highly value providing our families with a unique learning experience and our school environment fits perfectly into our goal. The St. Michael School of Clayton is housed within The Church of St. Michael and St. George, a gothic style building just inside the Clayton city limits. Forest Park is our playground and resource for exploration, located just one block away. Each room is unique and designed around student use. The environment is colorful, creative, and engaging, full of student created artwork and projects that provides students with an inviting and comfortable learning environment. Students have access to a variety of tools and materials, interact in collaborative spaces, and find a strong sense of ownership and comfort. Children have wonderful imaginations, and our castle-like building, encourages students to be inventive, explorers in their world.
As you walk around our colorful and uniquely designed school, it is not uncommon to see dogs as a regular part of our community. A few teachers bring their pets as a welcome addition to our environment. We find that our pets create warmth, offer support, and a friendly hello to everyone. Some of our most visited friends include Gladys, Rhea, Piper and Claude.
