Students develop intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills throughout all academic areas while working in collaborative groups. They engage in multidisciplinary research projects based on the Hub theme for the year. A Hub theme is chosen by faculty and students that creates the guiding theme that integrates curriculum throughout the year for the entire school. Although experiences are age appropriate for each grade level, the theme is consistent throughout all grades. Students are free to express themselves through multiple forms of expression that connects their ideas and experiences, developing a deeper context for understanding. We participate in Learning Journeys, off-site learning experiences, that further enhance their knowledge and connections with an area of study. We reflect and document our learning experiences from the year with documentation that includes website features, pictures, videos, teacher notes, observations, and student work and comments.
