Pre-Kindergarten through Kindergarten curriculum, constructed and developed over the course of the year, is based on children’s interests and within the context of a rich learning environment. Academics are incorporated into the curriculum and the flow of the day, in addition to being taught in innovative ways that seek to reach all learning styles and developmental ages. Children participate in morning meetings in which they review letters, numbers, counting, days of the week, and songs to further support traditional skills and age-appropriate learning goals. Specialists’ courses, such as studio art, music, physical education, and Spanish are woven into their daily schedules to allow various expressions of learning. Children engage in dramatic play and the use of various materials as demonstration of learning and connections.
