Jennifer attended the University of Missouri St. Louis and studied studio art and art history. During this time, she discovered her calling to work with children and pursued a teaching certificate at the same time. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in graphic design and studio art, a minor in art history, and a teaching degree. After graduating, she had the opportunity to teach K-12 art for 5 years and then taught both art and gifted for the next 2 years. During her teaching experience, she completed her Masters of Education in Administration. Jennifer then became an assistant principal at a high school for the next 5 years. As an assistant principal, she had a baby girl (who is now 4), and then two years later had twin girls (who are now 18 months.) Once the twins were born, Jennifer and her husband decided that it would be best for their family if she stayed home for at least a year to care for the children.
Jennifer is very thankful and beyond blessed that she now has the opportunity to come work for TSMSOC as a toddler teacher. She is a strong believer that children should be in a positive school climate where they feel safe. All children deserve to be loved and feel important at school. Jennifer is enthusiastic to start the new school year and welcome the students into the classroom. It’s going to be a great year filled of new adventures, new discoveries, and making new friends. Jennifer is so excited to be a part of our ongoing team that focuses on building positive relationships, student growth, and learning!
In her free-time, Jennifer loves being with her family, the outdoors, swimming, going for walks, piyo, dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, creating art, and making t-shirts.
