Kirsten graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with her undergraduate degree in business administration. She worked in the digital media and marketing fields for a few years before deciding to pursue a masters degree and teaching certification at Fontbonne University. During her time at Fontbonne, she was introduced to the St. Michael School and instantly fell in love. Kirsten has been working with TSMSOC since 2010, primarily as a 5th & 6th grade co-teacher focusing on the subject areas of Language Arts, Reading, History / Social Studies, and Math.
The St. Michael School embodies everything she always enjoyed about learning… project-based learning with real life connections, a warm and caring school community, and a philosophy that promotes creativity, the pursuit of passions, and discovery. She works hard to create a fun and inviting atmosphere that encourages a love of learning while honoring each students’ individuality. Kirsten absolutely loves getting to know your students and watching them grow.
Kirsten is also wife to Jason, mother to Vita and Luke who attend TSMSOC, as well as her dog, Claude. She loves to travel. A few of her most recent adventures include Peru, India, Thailand, Costa Rica, and Italy. Yoga, cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors are usually incorporated into her everyday routine.
