Peter graduated from Webster University in 1994 with his undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies. Several semesters later, while in pursuit of his masters degree in music, he left graduate school to pursue an international touring and recording career. After a long career in the music industry performing, teaching, and lecturing he re-entered school in 2012 and completed his Masters of Business Administration in Management and Leadership. Prior to his employment, Peter’s two children attended The St. Michael School of Clayton and since 2013, Peter has been the Director of Performing Arts.
As a young music student Peter always knew that he would end his musical journey as a teacher, especially as a teacher of middle school and younger students. All of his parents are teachers and teaching continues to run in the family as his younger brother has just completed his MFA in printmaking/photography. Teaching at TSMSOC allows Peter to pass along his passion for music and his strong belief that the grit and determination required for learning musical skills can be used in every other area of life.
Peter is a father to two sons who attended TSMSOC and are now in High School. Peter and his wife enjoy cycling, cooking, being outdoors, and watching their sons play sports.
